The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to grow the top line revenue through the discovery and acquisition of new standard opportunity engagements to existing and prospective clients while using a consultative sales approach. Each territory contains existing customer accounts, as well as target accounts for new business development.

Experience and Skills:


  • Develops new and current customers, through an outbound phone and face to face solution-based sales approach to identify new Code opportunities
  • Achieves assigned sales targets within the quarterly and annual time-frames
  • Builds and fosters client relationships with Municipal Clerks, Attorneys, Building and Planning Officials state wide
  • Identifies new business opportunities for new and existing Codes, and emerging technical products for Building, Planning & Zoning solutions
  • Handles sales activities for all existing clients including annuity activities for the state of New York
  • Assists in estimates discussion and negotiations for annuity clients
  • Collaborates with marketing, operations team and production staff in the promotion of sales opportunities
  • Utilizes the internet and other business tools, such as CRM, to maintain account profiles, activities including new business forecast Delivers client presentations, demonstrations and facilitates meetings with clients and General Code Staff
  • Maintains and builds an opportunity pipeline that is 3X’s your goal
  • Attends designated territory events to acquire leads and promote new product offerings
  • Promotes presentations and learning events in the territory as needed


  • BS/BA Degree or relevant equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of inside sales experience
  • Persuasive and motivational negotiation communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act with sense of urgency fulfilling business objectives
  • Position requires up to 40% travel and ability to interface professionally with customers
  • Personal values that match our corporate values
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
