REPORTS TO: Senior Accountant

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time Non-Exempt (On-site)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION :

The primary focus of this position is to handle all client collection calls, respond to client requests, scan deposits, support the team with on-site needs, process billing and other day-to-day activities within the accounting department. The position is required to be on-site a minimum of 3 days per week.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES or tasks performed:

  • Build relationships with our clients and follow up on resolutions regarding questions/issues.
  • Make collection calls and take incoming A/R calls in a client service-oriented manner.
  • Investigate and resolve client inquiries by triaging and involving appropriate individuals.
  • Scan checks and apply cash to customer accounts.
  • Process POs and related physical customer contract paperwork and mail/email to customers.
  • Prepare billings in the accounting systems, as required.
  • Update client information and notes in accounting and related systems, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • Prior accounting, clerical or client service experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel skills
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to interface with our clients

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Client service approach and perseverance

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is an office environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand while reading and typing on a computer. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
